Founded in 1948 by Alberto Minotti in Meda, in the heart of the Brianza furniture district, Minotti has become one of the most recognisable names in contemporary upholstered design. The company is still led by the Minotti family, now with the third generation involved in its creative and commercial direction — a continuity that gives the brand a consistency of craft few houses in its segment can match.

Since 1997 the artistic direction has been in the hands of Rodolfo Dordoni, whose quiet, architectural sensibility shaped the language the world now associates with the brand: deeply tailored sofas, precise metal bases, low profiles and a palette of warm neutrals. Today a group of international designers works alongside Dordoni on the collection that Minotti presents every year in Milan.
